Another meme coin for the crypto connoisseurs. APE Coin is a BEP-20 (or an ERC-20) token that is presumably linked with creators of the Bored Ape Yacht Club, the Yuga Labs! The resemblance is uncanny! However ApeCoin insists that it's a product of ApeCoin DAO and claims that holding an ApeCoin can enroll you at DAO. The coin is built on the Ethereum Blockchain.
Currently the supply of ApeCoin Token is limited to 1 billion tokens. The entirety of the token will be minted at once (unlike popular cryptos like BTC). 62 percent of the token is dedicated to the ApeCoin ecosystem wherein 150 million coins will be airdropped. 470 million token is allocated to the DAO treasury. 16 percent of the token is allocated for Yuga Labs and charity which translates to 10 million coins in donation. 14 percent of the token is dedicated to the launch contributors. The remnant of 8 percent which is 80 million tokens, is allocated towards Bored Ape Yacht Club founders.
The Yuga Labs also unveiled a game based Metaverse called the “Otherside”. BAYC and APECoin are trending in and the APEnomics is gonna take the memeverse with a storm like prolly Dogecoin did a while back. However everythings is in a developmental stage and much remains to be seen how the coin performs while the market is volatile ever since the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
ApeCoin is also launching $MFRM or the Monkey Firm, a new marketplace for NFTs.
